| Universal Union are the persons in charge of the Universal-Union approved foods, such as your rations and various food items given by UU members, these foods and a basic description of the chemicals and modifications on them are listed here. Take note that any informations in this thread might differ or change, but also that it's based on the overall citizen shape, which is not reflecting a normal human being muscular build, as well as any form of health characteristic, or medical. Therefor, you cannot relate them to any normal statistic and will need to use your logic and ask around.
Food:
Citizen Supplement:
The citizen supplements are about ten pills, of 2cm³, they can be dissolved by saliva and only requires one or two bites to be swallowed without risk. They contain a decent amount of 'recycled' organic material, the process of creation of these pills are very strict, they can be conserved for more than five months and the ingredients are never revealed to the few Civil Worker Union members working in the factories across the Earth, rumours says that these pills might contain chemicals that affect muscular mass, making the process of regeneration of the muscles slower by twenty five percent, making anyone eating them, unable to develop or maintain a stable muscular build for two days, this is why the resistant will usually try to steal some food that contains a smaller dose of chemicals or find a way to harvest their own from secret gardens.
Note: This is said that some human remains are put into the pills, it may be true, but the Civil Protection, Civil Worker Union and any UU members will automaticly deny this fact, or refuse to give their opinion on the matter. It is also said, that some rations contains only three pills with the chemicals, as an intensive dose may give unknown secondary effects, but no way to find which pills contain the chemicals as been found.
Drink:
UU Demineralized Water:
This is the blue can water the Universal Union approved and handed out to every citizens, this is the most common water and cannot satisfy a citizen daily requirement of water, only having 355ML of liquid, including the chemicals. The water was drained and is still drained from every sources across the earth, the demineralized water isn't from any pure source, it's carefully cleaned and handed out to the citizens sometimes from canals and sewers directly, this source of water as been said to be extremely usefull to stabylise a massive amount of citizens, as it will give memory lost from not only the last two hours, but also the next three, giving it a very usefull use for Civil Protection during they socio-stabylisation process.
Note: It is said that subjects from the chemicals held in the water may loose an entire day of memory, depending of their gender and physical condition, males with a strong muscular build are harder to affect, but on the other hand, when they become aged they dramatically increase in efficiency toward both genders, the womans are more affected, but only due to their muscular mass, so it may be easely balanced by physical effort, the only problem remains to find something with enough nutriments to gain a muscular mass...
UU Mineral Water:
This is the yellow can water the Universal Union approved and handed out to a few selected citizens, also inside a few distributors, these cans contain a quarter of the chemicals used for the standard demineralised water, but in a stronguer variant, making about twenty minute of the subject life partially gone, as well as the next five, and cannot be controlled, reduced, increased or held back, as far as the general public knows. The water is drained from the ocean, rivers, lakes, rain water and various water that wasn't contaminated, cans come in a single format of 355 ML and will help with the extra minerals that was implemented in it. UU didn't remove them, so most loyalist will use this water when they can, yet CWU will never drink it.
Note: The water contains seventy-five percent of the actual pre-war standard in water bottles, it is said that the most common source of mineral, is the yellow can, but some loyalist and Civil Worker Union members know it's only a substitute that allows the loyalist to remain in better shape, as well as improving slightly the chance of the healing process of the body and keep the bones in a proper shape so the chances of bones injury would be lowered.
UU Pure Water:
This is the standard water any CWU or UU member will receive. Anyone with this can, will be expected to be a loyalist because of the pure water it contains, no modification were done on it and it hold EXTRA minerals, as well as multiple vitamins and various for the better performances of the human body. Most CWU are proud to show that they have access to this water that come into a 400ML format, bigger than the others that were given to the populace, but also because it contains the best water anyone could dream of, drained from the best source on earth, there is a limited amount of it and UU make it expensive outside the rations to gain access to this kind of water and only the CWU manager will have access to the distribution outside the UU rations, mostly handing it as a reward to the members of the UU and CWU.
Note: It is said that the CCA / CPs have a better variant of water, having a few chemicals to keep them focused on their task and in a better performance. A CWU was once found to deliver illegally water to a few citizens, he was immediatly suspended and no one heard of him since then. Finally, there's rumours that the water have a third variant, but it was never confirmed, as no one ever came back from a meeting with Breen, but many suggest that the renown administrator have his own supply of water based on his preference.
UU Beer:
Beers were common in the pre-war home, it was an alchoolic beverage that everyone knows and that came in various taste, brand and size, yet this feature was so common, that the Universal Union couldn't do anything else than keep some reserves after they've found the psychologic advantages that the beer could give to their members. Not only that it would reduce the cost of production from anti-depressant that they disliked so much, it would also give them a few problems, such as abuse of consumption, which was clearly an issue, anyone drunk will... Be drunk, and behave in a different manner, even the high ranks could be affected by the alchool present in the liquid, making it potentially dangerous for their ranking, so they've decided to make a strict rule on it, only one beer would be allowed per Universal Union day (24 hours, human time) and it would be a very light beverage only containing 50% of the pre-war alchool, in a 400 ML format, making it impossible to be drunk from it.
Note: It as been seen by the Civil Protection, that some citizens had access to the liquid, weither it was produced at home or stolen remains a mistery, but the citizens were punished heavely by the CCA, having a work labour for six month into another city, or untill they'd die from it. The two citizens were found drunk from a very small amount of alchool, possibly due to their lighter shape, unable to support as much alchool as they did before the war.
