Have you had any past experience with Vortigaunts?: Yes played HL1 HL2 (all episodes) and roleplayed with one.
How long have you been doing serious roleplay?: Almost 2 years
Tell us how the vortigaunts came to earth;. When the Black Mesa Incident occurred, their master, a being known as the Nihilanth, viewed the rift that opened as a chance to escape, and directed the Vortigaunts to invade Earth

Character Backstory (2 paragraphs):She'Mal was young when the Combine invaded Xen, and barely had any memory of it. All he knows is that his parents were killed, while he was kept by the combine for 'future reference'. Later on in the Combine's demented place that they called, "The Fun House," there were thousands of Vortigaunts kept prisoner. Kin and friends were getting murdered viciously all around him, but the Vortigaunts couldn't do anything, thanks to the collars around their necks.
The Vortigaunts were forced to live in this hell hole for 2 and a half years, until they decided to use them all for slavery. This future reference came up and he found out it was him being a slave, with the collar around his neck again, in a city full of humans. But none of them were as he hoped. They were rude, they were dirty, and especially drunkards. A civilian threw a can at She'Mal, which hit his head. The Combine ordered him to "Pick up that can," and he did so. "Now put it in the trash can." He did so again without question. FIN
